Married to Maria Carolina Barbara Claudia von Tschoffen, born Puthon (1772-1847), he had four children with. It is believed that Mary of Tschoffen was the mysterious "Immortal Beloved" by Ludwig van Beethoven.

Bernhard (d. 1802) of Tschoffen is a masterpiece created by the artist Friedrich Heinrich Füger in 1795. The artwork was made with the following size: 112 x 88 cm - frame: 129 x 107 x 9 cm. Olja på duk was used by the artist as the medium of the masterpiece. Signed and dated lower left: H. Füger p: / 1795th was the artpiece's inscription. Friedrich Heinrich Füger was a painter, whose style can be attributed primarily to Classicism. The artist lived for 67 år, born in 1751 in Heilbronn and died in 1818.
