That is why, canvas prints are suited for any type of wall.

ROBERT W. WEIR, far till konstnären och även till målaren JOHN FERGUSON WEIR, föddes i New York, New York, 1803. Han studerade i tre år i Florens och Rom, och återvände till New York 1827. Han var valdes till ledamot av National Academy of Design två år senare. Han var instruktör i teckning vid United States Military Academy från 1834 till 1876 och är mest känd för sina målningar av historiska ämnen, såsom Embarkation of the Pilgrims, 1837-43 (Capitol Rotunda, Washington, DC). Han dog i New York 1889. Robert W. Weir var J. Alden Weirs första lärare och fortsatte att ge sin son råd och uppmuntran senare i livet. Sonen behöll en djup beundran för sin far och erkände fritt sin skuld till honom. Samtidigt är de gamla mästarnas exempel starkt i allt hans tidiga arbete. Dotter till en biskopspräst, Susan Martha Bayard föddes 1817. Hon undervisade i skolan innan hon gick med i Robert W. Weirs hushåll 1845 för att hjälpa till att fostra hans nio barn efter hans första frus död. Den 15 juli 1846 gifte de sig och hon födde honom ytterligare sju barn. De flesta av sönerna följde militära karriärer, men John Ferguson Weir, ett barn i det första äktenskapet, och J. Alden Weir, hennes yngste son, blev konstnärer. Mrs Weir dog 1900.
