The Austrian painter lived for 83 år - född i 1718 in Grafenwörth, Lower Austria and died in the year 1801 in Stein an der Donau, Lower Austria.

The compositional system of "Venus and Cupid" is a painting back the same content of Nicholas Knüpfer that originated from the English collection Cook and was auctioned at Sotheby's London of 2008. Since the image of the Kremser Schmidt reversed created against the model, the conclusion is obvious that the artist has used a reproduction of graphics for its interpretation of the theme.
