The colorful, exotic garments worn by the woman at the right demonstrate Jacob Duck’s skill in painting luxurious surfaces: she is Salome, daughter of Herodias. According to the New Testament, Herodias bore a grudge against John the Baptist, who condemned her marriage to Herod, ruler of Galilee and Perea. At a celebration dinner, Salome so charmed Herod with her dancing that he offered her anything she desired—and Herodias convinced Salome to demand John the Baptist’s head. Rather than depicting the actual execution, Duck focused on the executioner’s muscled physique as he departs the scene, turning to look at the viewer after having presented Salome with John’s severed head.

- Affischtrycket (dukmaterial): Our poster print is a printed canvas paper with a slightly rough finish on the surface. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm round about the painting, which facilitates the framing.
- Aluminium dibond tryck: These are metal prints on aluminium dibond material with an impressive depth effect. A direct Aluminium Dibond Print is the perfect start to fine art reproductions manufactured with aluminum. For your Print On Aluminum Dibond, we print your favorite work of art right onto the aluminium surface. The white and bright parts of the original artpiece shine with a silk gloss but without any glow.
- Canvastrycket: The printed canvas mounted on a wooden frame. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy to hang up your Canvas print without the use of extra wall-mounts. Therefore, a canvas print is suitable for all types of walls in your house.
- Akrylglastryck (med äkta glasbeläggning): A glossy print on acrylic glass, often labelled as a UV print on plexiglass, will convert the original work of art into gorgeous décor. The work of art is being printed with the help of modern UV direct printing technology. The special effect of this are vivid, impressive colors. The great advantage of an acrylic glass art print is that contrasts as well as minor color details will be visible due to the granular gradation of the picture. The plexiglass protects your chosen fine art print against sunlight and external influences for many years.
